Tri-State Speedway News Title Card

Haubstadt, IN – March 22, 2019.  Tri-State Speedway at Haubstadt, IN, will hold the opening race for the 2019 season at the quarter-mile speed plant on Saturday, April 13th.  The non-wing sprint cars of the United States Auto Club will join with the Brandeis Midwest Sprint Car Series to provide the 8th annual co-sanctioned SPRING SHOWDOWN. It will be the first of three appearances at Haubstadt for the USAC Sprints and the first of 9 appearances at the Class Track for MSCS. The feature will pay $5,000 to win!

In all, there will be a dozen varied special events on the schedule this season.  Yes, the World of Outlaws will be making that one all-important appearance at Tri-State Speedway.  That will be on Saturday, May 4th this season.  The MOWA Sprints will follow with more wing sprint action on May 18th to supply the always exciting MIDWEST MADNESS show.  The IMCA Racesaver Sprints will also be sporting wings in appearances on July 13th and August 10th.  In addition, the MMSA Mini Sprints will make four appearances.  Those dates are May 26, June 8, July 13, and October 19th.  The July 13th date is the annual SPRINT STAMPEDE with 3 divisions of sprint cars.

There will be two holiday weekend races featuring the Brandeis MSCS
410 Sprints.  The MEMORIAL WEEKEND CLASSIC and the LABOR DAY WEEKEND CHALLENGE are both Sunday night ventures.  The MSCS SUMMER SHOWDOWN will be on June 8th.  This year’s MSCS HOOSIER SPRINT NATIONALS will be held on August 10th.  MSCS will then close out the season by competing for the HARVEST CUP at Haubstadt on October 19th.  The SUMMER SHOWDOWN, the HOOSIER SPRINT NATIONALS and the HARVEST CUP boast $5,000 to win purses.

On July 27th the speedway will host the finale of the USAC INDIANA SPRINT WEEK.  The USAC Sprints will also return on September 14th for the one and only HAUBSTADT HUSTLER.  This will be the biggest race of the season for non-wing sprints.  USAC & MSCS will compete together in this co-sanctioned event.  The top prize is $10,000.  The Saturday, September 14th and October 19th events have rain dates set for Sunday of that weekend.  New to the schedule this season will be the addition of the USAC Midgets to the program for the October HARVEST CUP.

The UMP Open Wheel Modifieds will make 10 appearances during the season.  The modified drivers will be racing for $1,000 to win on May 4, July 27, and September 1.  Then at the SUMMIT MODIFIED race on Sunday, June 23rd the feature will pay $1,500 to win.  That is on the same date as the annual UMP DIRT CAR LATE MODEL SUMMER NATIONALS.
