Looking Forward to the 2025 Race Season
As the snow and ice cover our race track here in the month of January, there is always hope for another
successful race season starting once again in April here. The schedule has some distinct racing lined up for fans of all types of cars.
The opening race will be Saturday, April 26th . The World of Outlaw Sprints are one of the most anticipated events every year. Tickets for this race will go on sale February 28th .
Once the month of May hits, there will be two dates not to miss. The annual Spring Showdown on May 10th features the USAC Sprints and the MMSA Mini-Sprints which will kick off our non-wing program. The May 25th race is once again the first holiday weekend event. The Memorial Weekend Classic with the Midwest Thunder 410 Sprints and the MMSA Mini-Sprints is always a good start to summer racing activities.
We will be hosting USAC Midget Week here on Saturday, June 7th along with the Midwest Thunder 410 Sprints. Race fans have the opportunity to witness USAC Midgets plus 410 Sprints all in one program sure to please all.
A new month and a new day will bring the Dirtcar Summernationals to town on Saturday, July 5th . After many years hosting a Sunday race for this series, we are delighted to present this event on a Saturday holiday weekend which also features the Summit Modifieds. The American Late Model Iron Man Series will be joining the Dirtcar Late Models for this race.
The month of August starts off with the August 2nd USAC Indiana Sprint Week show. Race teams travel to 8 different Indiana venues trying to win the coveted title of 2025 Sprint Week Champion. It’s a must- see event for fans of 410 non-wing sprints. The Hoosier Sprint Nationals will be back on August 16th when the Midwest Thunder 410 Sprints race for a top prize of $5000. Also in action will be the MMSA Mini-Sprints.
The 2025 calendar has thrown Labor Day Weekend an early start. On Sunday, August 31st we will present our Labor Day Weekend Challenge. On tap will be the Midwest Thunder 410 Sprints and the MMSA Mini-Sprints. The Midwest Vintage Racecar Club will have their cars on display also.
Starting off the month of September will be annual Haubstadt Hustler race paying $20,000 to win on Saturday, September 13th . The USAC Sprint drivers will be challenging each other for the Haubstadt Hustler title. It is one of our crown jewel events that always seems to heighten the excitement and elevates the racing clientele.
New to our schedule is a Wednesday night race on September 24th . It’s the Castrol FloRacing Night in America with Late Models competing for a whopping $20,000 paycheck. This event will determine how many late model fans we have in our area so please mark your calendars.
Rounding out our 2025 season is the October 4th Harvest Cup race. The $8000 top prize will attract drivers from the Midwest Thunder 410 Series and others who want to close out their racing season. Also in competition will be the 305 Race Saver Sprints.
Many changes have occurred over the years but the one element still present is the excitement of the
powerful racing exhibited by the drivers. Our faithful fans who still show up to enjoy this sport have kept our gates open for 68 years of operation. For that, we are forever grateful and hope to continue this long tradition of providing good entertainment for all race fans.
