WORLD OF OUTLAWS TO APPEAR AT TRI-STATE SPEEDWAY SATURDAY

Haubstadt, IN - May 7, 2014 - The always exciting World of Outlaws
Sprint Cars will be in action at Tri-State Speedway this Saturday
night May 10th.  This year’s visit is part of a May Midwest Invasion.
The race teams will be heading to the Haubstadt quarter mile after
scheduled stops earlier in the week in Illinois and Wisconsin.  The
WoO Sprints have already competed in more than 20 races at tracks
stretching from the east to the west coast.  This will be their one
and only appearance at Tri-State Speedway in 2014!

The first twenty shows have produced eleven different winners.
Leading drivers with multiple wins include defending WoO Champion
Daryn Pittman along with Donny Shatz and Brad Sweet.  The three
drivers have three wins each in counting wins posted through May 3rd.
David Gravel took the win at Eldora Speedway that night.  It was his
second win.  Other drivers with two victories include Joey Saldana
and Kerry Madsen.  Long time Tri-State Speedway WoO competitors Steve
Kinser and Sammy Swindell have also posted a feature win this season
and are in the top ten in WoO points.  That point lead has been as
close as a single point with Joey Saldana the driver in front heading
into this week’s competition.

Tim Kaeding of San Jose, California, held off David Gravel to win
last year’s WoO feature at Haubstadt.  Thirty-nine winged  sprints
were present to compete.  Heat races are set to get underway Saturday
at 7:30 P.M. with hot laps and qualifications prior.  The UMP
Modifieds will also be racing.  Zack Fair of Petersburg won the
feature on opening night.  Fair was one of three drivers to post
multiple modified wins at the track last season.  Fair, Stephen
Schnapf, and Levi Kissinger won two UMP features each in 2013.

This is the second of 13 races scheduled at the track for 2014.
Another winged sprint show will be held on June 21st.  The winged
MOWA Series will be competing that night along with the MSCS non
wing sprints.

The MSCS Sprint Car Series will return to the speedway on Sunday
night May 25th.  The Memorial Weekend Classic will showcase the 410
non wing drivers in the Midwest in a combined King of Indiana
Sprints-MSCS show.
