The Season Ahead

     HAUBSTADT, IN - April 13, 2013.  The racing season at Tri-State
Speedway will begin with a blast of fast winged sprint car excitement
as the World of Outlaws tackle the quarter mile oval on Saturday
night April 20th.  It will be the second stop that weekend for the
ever touring pros.  An appearance at Paducah, KY, the night before
will provide an extraordinary weekend of outlaw racing and should
heighten the interest of fans and teams across the region.
     The World of Outlaws have already competed in more than a dozen
shows.  Heading into April, racing stops in Florida, Nevada, Arizona,
and California produced 10 different feature winners.  Darryn
Pittman, Paul McMahan, Joey Saldana, Sammy Swindell, and Donnie
Schatz have the early advantage in the WoO STP season's points battle
as they swing back into the Midwest.
     Reserved tickets for this event are already on sale. Qualifying
starts at 6:30 PM with race action set for 7:30 PM (CST).

     The UMP Open Wheel Modifieds will also be making their first of 11
appearances of the season.  The only nights on the schedule that the
modifieds will not be on the race card at Tri-State Speedway are June
15th and June 29th.  On June 8th the modified drivers will be running
for $3,000 to win.  This is the first year for such an event and it
is being billed as the Tri-State Summer Showdown - Summit Modified
Nationals.  The PCRA Late Models will also be racing on June 8th.

     A UMP membership is required to be purchased in order to compete in
UMP sanctioned races at all tracks in 2013.  Membership forms will be
available at the track. Memberships can be obtained for a discount rate
of $95 at Tri-State Speedway if you have not purchased one by April 20th.

      The Baymont Inn has been designated as the "official hotel"
for the speedway events this season.  A special discount is available
to those attending the race on the April 20th weekend and any
other racing weekend.  The inn is just 3 miles South of the track.

indoor pool and hot tub,newly renovated rooms,complimentary hot breakfast
and is located just minutes from the racetrack.
      Camping is permitted on the grounds at Tri-State Speedway with
locations set aside at the west side of the facility.
     Travelers to Tri-State Speedway this season now have the availability
of the southern most sections of I-69. The new 67 mile stretch is
open from Evansville, IN, to Green County, IN.  The speedway is
located only 5 miles from the interstate by exiting onto Highway 68
and then heading west over to U.S. Highway 41 and turning North. For
newcomers to the track, we are still conveniently located just 3 miles
north of I-64 on Hwy 41 at Haubstadt, IN.
