SUMMER SHOWDOWN AT TRI-STATE SPEEDWAY IS NEXT PAYING $5,000 TO WIN!

Haubstadt, IN - June 4, 2019 -  The BRANDEIS Midwest Sprint Car Series is scheduled to race this weekend at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN.  The SUMMER SHOWDOWN being held Saturday night June 8th was first held in the 2015 season.  It is now one of the five top paying events of the season.  The winner's share of the purse for the MSCS sprint car feature has been increased two times since 2015 and now pays $5,000 to win.

The Midwest Sprint Car Series will be racing three times in the month of June.  The SUMMER SHOWDOWN scheduled for Saturday night June 8th will be followed by a visit to Brownstown Speedway on June 29th, and then a return to Tri-State Speedway on Sunday the 30th.  The Sunday night event is the make-up date for the rained out USAC/MSCS SPRING SHOWDOWN.  This year June will start and end with SHOWDOWNS!

Past SUMMER SHOWDOWN winners from the MSCS ranks include Chase Stockon (2017), Kyle Cummins (2016), and Brady Short (2015).  Rain prevented the race from being held last year.  Kyle Cummins is off to a great start this season.  He has won 3 of the 5 MSCS feature events held in 2019.  He has won both features held at Haubstadt.

The 2019 BRANDEIS MSCS Points Race has become a battle of two former champions.  Four time MSCS Champions Kyle Cummins and Brady Short are one and two in the points standings.  Cummins leads by 34 points. 2018 points runner-up Donny Brackett sets in the third spot.  Stephen Schnapf and Brandon Mattox round out the top five in series points.

The UMP Modifieds will also be competing on June 8th.  Twenty-five laps will determine which driver will take home the top prize of $600.  Local drivers have prevailed so far this season.  The feature winners for the 2 events completed were Stan Beadles and Brandon McDowell.  Each of those drivers will be looking for win number two.

Add the Midwest Mini Sprint Association to an already promising program and fans will enjoy the third triple header of the season at Tri-State Speedway.  It will also mark the second of four visits scheduled this season for the MMSA Mini Sprints.  Cody Trammel picked up the win on Memorial Day Weekend.

The admission prices for this special event at Tri-State Speedway are:  Adults $22 and Students $17.  Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.  Pit passes are $30.  Engine warm-ups are at 6 P.M. with group qualifying to follow.  Racing begins at 7:30 P.M.
