WEATHER CANCELS INDIANA SPRINT WEEK FINALE

Posted July 22, 2013

Haubstadt, IN - July 20.  The entire racing program which was to be
presented Saturday evening at Tri-State Speedway was rained out.
Clouds and accompanying showers moved in over the facility as the
competitors and fans were arriving.  It was announced that the
driver's meeting and other pre-race activities were being placed on
hold until a determination could be made on the changing weather
situation.  Rain continued to interfere with any opportunity to get
the program started and the event was cancelled just prior to the
announced race time of 7:30.

This race was the last event scheduled for Indiana Sprint Week.
Following the cancellation, points leader Brian Clauson was declared
the Indiana Sprint Week Champion for 2013.  He had captured the
points lead in winning the previous two features held on Thursday and
Friday.  It was the first Sprint week Championship for the AMSOIL
USAC Sprint Car driver.  He drives the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian
Racing Sprinter.

The other top five drivers in Indiana Sprint Week points were Brady
Bacon in second followed by Kevin Thomas Jr., Dave Darland, and Chris
Bell.  Jon Stanbrough was sixth.  Thomas and Stanbrough also had
feature victories during a very competitive sprint week.

The USAC Sprint Cars will be back at Tri-State Speedway one more time
this season.  The date is September 14th.  That Saturday the USAC
Sprints and MSCS Sprints will join forces to compete in the Haubstadt
Hustler and for a top prize of $10,000.

The Hoosier Tire MSCS Sprint Cars will be competing on August 3rd in
the annual Hoosier Sprint Nationals which is the next race scheduled
to be held at Tri-State Speedway.  It will pay $5,000 to win the
sprint car feature.   The UMP Dirt Open Wheel Modifieds will also be
competing.
